CANADIAN LABOUR:

HELP CUPE LOCAL 3191:

The Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) always has to be commended for its efforts in organizing small workplaces, situations that many other unions wouldn't deem "important" enough for their efforts. One of these is the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Toronto. Here's an appeal from the five workers at that place of employment for online solidarity in their contract negotiations with management.

Help CUPE 3191 at Big Brothers, Big Sisters Toronto:
Five CUPE 3191 members are trying to achieve a fair and reasonable contract with their employer, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Toronto. But the administration refuses to even discuss CUPE proposals. CUPE has applied for conciliation. These five members are isolated and need your support to help them avoid a strike.

THE LETTER:
Please go to THIS LINK to send the following letter to management of this workplace.

It’s time to stop playing games, spreading rumours about the union and intimidating CUPE members. Go to the table and bargain a fair and reasonable contract. CUPE 3191 has no desire to go on strike, their clients are the most vulnerable of the vulnerable in our society – children at risk.
